What can I say that hasn't been said already. Well for starters I have to say that the FX500 Xl is one nimble little boat. The places I have been so far have truly impressed me. It's like drifting in a car but only better. I have run through some narrow streams barely wide enough for the boat and it was so much fun, the back end would swing out with ease and I was totally in control, fantastic. There is a bit of a learning curve if your new to this type watercraft, but it gives you the confidence to try just about anything. Absolutely love it.

I glued the bases onto my Stryker and mounted the brackets on. The Scotty downriggers bolted on and I found the bases to be VERY solid! Very impressed here!

I love the fact that this is a local company and the product is great. Yes there are other products that cost less but I went with Swellfish for the durability, quality of the build and the tube size. The larger tubes make a huge difference.

Similar to my old Zodiac, but the aluminum transom and seats are improvements. The nylon bag that fits into the bow is a nice addition. Rows nice, and paddles stay out of the way when not in use. Handled well for a week in rough seas off north coast of Haida Gwaii.

Over all it’s a well made boat very sturdy and easy to set up and take down which was a big concern. The bag with the four handles is perfect for moving it around. I can put it in the back seat of the truck or the box bed so really happy with the purchase !!

Swellfish was good to work with. The motor is prone to kickbacks and I would have gone with the electric start despite the extra weight if I could go back. Hopefully the kickbacks will ease up when the motor is more broken in. UPS destroyed the package in route then charged us an extra 50 bucks to release the motor. Neither of these were Swellfish's fault and I would buy from them again. There was also an issue with customs at the border, but Swellfish helped with that. 5 stars for the customer service. Time will tell with the motor...

Easy to assemble. Very similar to the old Zodiac but seats, bow bag, and aluminum transom are nice improvements. The oars and removable wheels are way better that the ones I used on my previous boat. I asked Swellfish for an extra piece of material for a custom alteration and it arrived in Prince George the next day. I have called a few times for advice about installing wheels and rod holders and have always received immediate help.
